Just before Christmas, Micheal's was posting signs in the knitting row that said 'Due to the heavy demand for novelty yarns, our suppliers are currently out of stock." But a few das ago I was back in Michael's and they had boxes and boxes of yarn they were putting on display. The line was full of people with yarn in their carts.
On another note, The Knitty Gritty in Anaheim just closed. I take it I wasn't the only one who found their yarns out of my budget. It's so hard for small shops to make it.

Re: Knitting news
Sat, January 15, 2005 - 7:40 PMWe have tons of novelty yarns in Anacapa Fine Yarns and business is doing great. It does amaze me the amount of money people spend on yarn. I think one thing that helps business too is that we have a lot of classes. How long was Knitty Gritty in business? -
